High School Special Education Teacher

Job Description

• Teach high school students with special needs through inclusive, differentiated, pull-out, push-in, small-group, and one-on-one instruction.
• Develop, monitor, and ensure compliance with 504 plans and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), including managing an IEP caseload, collecting academic growth data, writing IEPs, and participating in IEP meetings.
• Collaborate with families, general education teachers, school leaders, Special Education teams, and grade-level teams to support student achievement and learning needs.
• Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, academic expertise in Special Education or a related field, and eligibility for New York State certification; teachers must become NY-certified within a reasonable period.
• Full-time position in Mamaroneck, NY, with compensation of $72,000–$115,000 for the 2025–2026 school year; 1–2 years of experience is preferred.
