High School STEM (Algebra 1, Earth Science) + Literacy (Phonics, Rewards) Tutor

Job Description

• Provide in-person, on-site tutoring at a Queens NYCDOE school for small groups of high school students in Algebra 1, Earth Science, Phonics, and Rewards.
• Deliver structured, engaging instruction focused on foundational skills, problem-solving, study skills, and exam preparation using Toolkit Tutors or school-provided curriculum.
• Review baseline data, tailor instruction to individual student needs, and document daily attendance and tutoring notes using a personal mobile device.
• Work approximately 5 hours per day, 3 days per week, during school hours; this is a W2 position paying $32–$35/hr, paid bimonthly.
• Requires a completed or near-completion Bachelor’s degree, at least 1 year of school-based teaching or tutoring experience, ability to commute to Queens, and DOE fingerprint clearance strongly preferred.
