Job Description
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Mortgage Underwriters handling Home Lending assumption files across Capacity, Capital, Character, Collateral, and Condition.
• Manage workflow, inventory distribution, productivity metrics, quality outcomes, customer satisfaction, cycle times, and service-level agreements.
• Review and approve escalated underwriting decisions and completed loan files for compliance with investor guidelines, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead audit responses and corrective action plans in coordination with Risk Management, Compliance, and Quality Assurance teams.
• Requires 5+ years of mortgage underwriting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or team lead capacity, plus HUD Direct Endorsement (DE) and VA credit certifications.
• Remote work-from-home, full-time role; location associated with Columbus, OH.
