Job Description
• Perform advanced on-site HVAC/R installation, troubleshooting, repair, replacement, and preventive maintenance at the DE Hospital for the Chronically Ill in Smyrna, DE.
• Diagnose and service air conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation, boilers, heat pumps, environmental units, and related electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and fluid systems in compliance with federal, Delaware, ASHRAE, and National Electrical Code requirements.
• Lead certified/skilled mechanics or HVAC/R apprentices; interpret blueprints and schematics; estimate project time, materials, and costs; and recommend contractors when needed.
• Requires a Delaware Master HVACR or Master HVACR Restricted license (or qualifying equivalent), Universal CFC certification, six months of HVAC/R installation, troubleshooting, and repair experience, six months of estimating experience, and a valid driver's license.
• Full-time, 7:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., $47,500/year; legal U.S. work authorization, satisfactory background check, pre-employment drug testing, and two-step TST are required.
