Instructor – Mechanical / Heavy Equipment Trainer

Job Description

• Dexian seeks a Technical Skills Instructor – Mechanical / Heavy Equipment Trainer for an on-site, classroom and hands-on contract assignment based in Rockmart, GA, serving generating plants across Georgia and Alabama.
• Deliver foundational mechanical training and safe heavy-equipment operating instruction covering forklifts, skid steers, excavators, backhoes, water trucks, aerial lifts, lulls, tugs, tractors, and related pre-operational checks.
• Develop lesson plans, PowerPoint presentations, and hands-on exercises; assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and offer practical-exercise technical support.
• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, basic mechanical engineering knowledge, official training certifications and/or proven relevant subject-matter experience, and strong communication and presentation skills.
• Requires approximately 50% daytrip and overnight travel throughout Georgia and Alabama, dependable personal transportation, and ability to work in hot, cold, windy, and rainy conditions; additional slings, rigging, overhead-crane, gantry-crane, and hoist experience is preferred.
