Job Description
• Insulator Mechanic role with PeopleReady Skilled Trades’ Marine Division, working on-site at NASSCO in the Norfolk yard.
• Requires a minimum of 1 year of shipyard experience and eligibility to pass a drug screen and background check to obtain DBIDs.
• Reads and interprets insulation drawings, performs layout and installation, and meets Journeyperson 3/4 insulation mechanic requirements.
• Designs and fabricates lagging pads and installs them on pipe flanges, valves, ventilation systems, and engine exhaust systems.
• Fabricates and installs calcium-silicate miters; pay is $22–$25/hour DOE.
