Intermediate Applied Mathematician--Communications, Navigation, and Timing Engineering

Job Description

• Intermediate applied mathematician role within MITRE’s Communications, SIGINT, and PNT department, focused on communications, navigation, timing, GPS, satellite navigation, and electrical engineering applications.
• Develop, apply, and evaluate state-of-the-art signal-processing algorithms, next-generation communication and navigation signals, and techniques for detecting, locating, and identifying signals.
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree plus at least 2 years of related experience, or an advanced degree with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience; a PhD in mathematics, applied mathematics, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Requires experience with MATLAB, Python, C++, or comparable modeling and data-analysis tools, plus the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
• Full-time hybrid position requiring at least 3 days on site each week; salary is undisclosed.
