Iron Worker

Job Description

• Full-time, on-site Iron Worker position with Palacios Marine & Industrial, Inc. in Port Lavaca, TX, supporting marine, industrial, and construction projects.
• Fabricate, shape, weld, cut, repair, and install structural steel, sheet metal, reinforcing steel, steel frames, columns, beams, girders, stairs, handrails, and curtain walls.
• Read and interpret blueprints, architectural plans, engineering drawings, and specifications; use plumb bobs, laser equipment, and other tools for precise alignment.
• Direct crane operations, operate machinery safely, inspect older metal infrastructure, verify completed work, and maintain construction safety protocols.
• Requires proven Iron Worker or related experience, crane-operation ability, welding/cutting/metal-fabrication skills, physical stamina for heights and outdoor weather, and ability to lift heavy materials and stand, walk, and climb for extended periods; welding or ironworking certifications are advantageous.
