Ironworker Journeyman

Job Description

• Perform layout, installation, assembly, fabrication, and erection of structural steel in accordance with blueprints, specifications, codes, and industry standards.
• Read plans; position, hoist, align, bolt, rivet, and weld steel beams, columns, girders, and other structural members.
• Use cranes, rigging, plumb bobs, laser equipment, transits, levels, torches, shears, welding equipment, and hand or power tools.
• Inspect subordinate work for contract compliance and correct deficiencies; estimate materials, quantities, costs, resources, and work duration.
• Skilled-level, on-site construction/industrial work in Mobile, AL; requires physical work at heights potentially exceeding 200 feet, irregular hours, weekends, overtime, holidays, required tools, possible U.S. driver license, and pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
