Job Description
• Entry-level, on-site Ironworker Structural Helper 2 supporting skilled craftsperson(s) under immediate supervision on a construction/industrial structural-steel site.
• Reads specifications and blueprints; fabricates, unloads, positions, aligns, hoists, cuts, bends, and welds structural steel components.
• Uses cranes, rigging, plumb bobs, laser equipment, transits, levels, metal shears, torches, welding equipment, and hand, power, and layout tools.
• Requires field experience in the chosen craft discipline; a high school diploma or equivalent may be required, along with required tools and possibly a U.S. Driver License.
• Must work outdoors in changing weather, irregular hours, weekends, overtime, and holidays; climb scaffolds or access equipment potentially exceeding 200 feet, lift/move up to 50 pounds, follow safety/project rules, and pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing and a fit-for-duty medical.
