IT Cybersecurity Specialist

Job Description

• Full-time IT Cybersecurity Specialist/Security Engineer supporting the U.S. General Services Administration Office of Inspector General’s cyber defense suite; reports to the CISO.
• Protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data through security program, policy, procedure, and tool development and maintenance.
• Supports cybersecurity operations across IT networks, systems, and cloud platforms using identity and access management, encryption, continuous monitoring, secure configuration, and automation.
• Plans, designs, implements, optimizes, and maintains networked and cloud systems; contributes to cloud modernization, automation, and digital transformation.
• Administers firewalls, VPN gateways, zero-trust technologies, MFA services, and DLP; verifies security controls, assesses risk, and maintains systems security plans.
