Junior Analyst - Venture Capital

Job Description

• Junior Analyst supporting StepStone’s Portfolio Analytics and Reporting team with venture capital portfolio-company data collection, governance, and investment reporting.
• Maintain the internal investment database, data fields, and records; create dataflows using SQL querying and data transformations.
• Generate quarterly reports, assist with LP/Investor data requests, and support performance analyses, projects, and ad-hoc requests.
• Collaborate with VC Investment, Business Intelligence, and technology teams to improve data storage, collection, utilization, and internal process efficiency.
• Requires a preferred Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a Data Science-related field; Microsoft Excel expertise is mandatory, including VLOOKUP and SUMIFS, plus basic SQL and relational-database familiarity.
• Full-time role in Baltimore, MD; financial-services experience is preferred but not required; candidates must be at least 18; compensation is $25 / hour.
