Laboratory Technician, Biocompatibility Testing

Job Description

• Edwards Lifesciences LLC is hiring a full-time, onsite Laboratory Technician, Biocompatibility Testing in Irvine, CA, working Monday–Friday with occasional weekend rotation and overtime during peak periods or critical deadlines.
• Conduct in vitro and in vivo safety, biocompatibility, and non-clinical testing of medical devices, including cytotoxicity, hemolysis, partial thromboplastin time, platelet/leukocyte counts, complement activation, genotoxicity, and small-animal assays under ISO 10993.
• Collect, analyze, and process samples; prepare chemicals, reagents, and solutions; operate and calibrate laboratory equipment; record results; organize data; and support investigations and validation activities.
• Requires an Associate's degree in Biology, Veterinary Science, Animal Science, or a similar scientific field and at least one year of in vitro and in vivo biological testing experience in an academic or medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotech setting.
• Work involves animal blood/tissues and small laboratory animals; preferred qualifications include GLP/GDP experience, AALAS/USDA/DEA regulatory knowledge, RVT or LAT certification, and intermediate MS Office skills.
