Lead Cyber Security Engineer

Job Description

• Lead cyber security engineering for MITRE’s Ft. Meade/Annapolis Junction joint cyber operations program, supporting sponsor decision-making, situational awareness, operational concepts, mission engineering, and national defense.
• Produce written reports, models, system diagrams, cyber operations strategies, prototypes, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and implement or transition those solutions with MITRE teams.
• Lead functional teams or complex projects, guide other personnel, collaborate with operational forces, MITRE leadership, government representatives, Task/Project Leads, and sponsors, and communicate technical vision and strategy.
• Requires 8+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 3+ years with a Master’s degree, or a PhD with relevant experience; preferred fields include computer science, computer engineering, cybersecurity, systems engineering, or intelligence.
• Requires U.S. citizenship, an active Top Secret/SCI clearance, ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI with polygraph, and hybrid on-site work at Fort Meade/SCIF at least 3 days per week.
