Lead Program Manager, Returnable Container Operations & Logistics

Job Description

• Lead the end-to-end strategy, lifecycle, operations, maintenance, quality, and asset control of Rivian’s reusable packaging and returnable container fleet.
• Serve as the senior escalation point and operational/financial authority for the 3PL container management vendor, suppliers, and executive internal teams.
• Drive predictive container planning, physical audits, inventory integrity, fleet-loss reduction, SLA/KPI enforcement, root-cause analysis, chargebacks, and TCO optimization.
• Partner with Packaging Engineering, Material Planning, Logistics, and Plant Operations on NPI logistics architecture and container-return loops that prevent production line stoppages.
• Requires 6+ years specifically in returnable asset management, container fleet logistics, or industrial packaging; a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced ERP/WMS, RFID/GPS, TMS, Tableau, and PowerBI proficiency; and 100% onsite work in Normal, IL.
