Lean Manufacturing Specialist

Job Description

• Full-time, on-site Lean Manufacturing Specialist at GE Vernova’s Aero Alliance Jayport facility in Houston, TX, supporting repair of engines for cruise ships, refineries, and major power plants.
• Define, develop, and implement Lean improvement projects focused on EHS, quality, operational efficiency, waste elimination, cost savings, and reduced repair turnaround times.
• Facilitate weekly Kaizen events; coach and mentor shop-floor staff in TPS, 5S, VSM, and other Lean methodologies; build a continuous-improvement culture.
• Use Kanban, JIT, VSM, 5S, FMEA, Kitset delivery, vendor-managed inventory, KPI tracking, automation analysis, and layout improvements to address bottlenecks and manual effort.
• Requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or 4+ years in a Lean manufacturing role, plus 4+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience; Lean Green or Black Belt certification is preferred and AutoCAD/design software experience is highly desirable.
• Salary is $81,700–$136,700/year, with possible 110%, 120%, or 130% geographic differential and discretionary annual bonus; candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and may undergo a drug screen.
