Job Description

• Conduct summer 2027 doctoral-level research in Eli Lilly’s Drug Discovery or Development organizations, with start dates in May or June 2027.
• Contribute to projects involving AI/ML, analytical and bioassay development, compound testing, synthesis, computational biology/chemistry, molecular biology, protein expression, formulation, flow chemistry, delivery devices, and drug product design.
• Use AI tools with curiosity and critical thinking while prioritizing accuracy, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
• Must be enrolled in a Ph.D. or PharmD program in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, specified engineering disciplines, or a related field.
• Previous laboratory or pharmaceutical research experience and prior academic, project, or work experience using AI tools are preferred; strong teamwork and communication skills are required.
• Locations include Indianapolis, IN; Boston, MA; San Diego, CA; Pasadena, CA; and South San Francisco, CA.
