Manager, Fraud Prevention & Detection

Job Description

• Remote, full-time Manager, Fraud Prevention & Detection role at H&R Block in the tax and financial services industry.
• Lead fraud prevention strategy, fraud rules, risk scoring, automated decisioning, AI/ML models, identity verification, behavioral signals, and real-time fraud controls across tax, payment, digital account, and customer journeys.
• Own fraud performance metrics, including fraud losses, fraud capture, false positives, manual review volume, customer friction, automation, and control effectiveness.
• Lead and coach a fraud team while partnering with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Compliance, Customer Care, and Operations.
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 7+ years leading fraud, payments risk, digital identity, banking, fintech, e-commerce, tax, or financial services fraud programs.
