Managing Director, Middle Market Investment Banking

Job Description

• Managing Director-level investment banking role focused on originating and executing middle-market M&A, financing, recapitalization, and related transactions up to $500 million in enterprise value.
• Drive business development, revenue growth, fee-paying mandates, pipeline development, and senior relationships with private equity sponsors, entrepreneurs, companies, and other market influencers.
• Lead vertical-market strategy and transaction execution across Business Services, Consumer, Healthcare Products, or Software and Technology, including AML clearance, financial modeling, valuation, analysis, recommendations, and closing.
• Build internal partnerships across CIBC Capital Markets and CIBC Bank USA, maintain transaction activity in Salesforce, and mentor Executive Directors, Directors, Associates, and Analysts.
• Requires at least 10 years of relevant investment banking experience, Managing Director-equivalent leadership, deep middle-market M&A expertise, established sector relationships, and strong executive communication; locations include Chicago, IL, Milwaukee, WI, or Remote, with no employment visa sponsorship.
