Manufacturing Engineer Fixture Design & Lean Manufacturing

Job Description

• Lead the design and development of manufacturing, assembly, welding, and inspection fixtures using SolidWorks, including 3D layouts, assemblies, fabrication drawings, and GD&T.
• Support fixture validation, manufacturing trials, shop-floor issue resolution, process capability, productivity improvements, and Lean initiatives.
• Apply time studies, line balancing, elemental breakdown, video time studies, VA/NVA/RNVA analysis, Muri analysis, and Current/Future State Value Stream Mapping.
• Develop standard and video work instructions, perform root cause analysis for quality failures, defects, and downtime, and support corrective actions, Kaizen, and continuous improvement.
• Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering, strong hands-on shop-floor manufacturing engineering experience, fixture design/manufacturing experience, and proficiency in SolidWorks and GD&T; contractor role in Appleton, WI.
