Mechanical and Piping Insulator

Job Description

• Full-time, on-site Mechanical and Piping Insulator position with RQ Construction, LLC at Kings Bay Naval Base in Kings Bay, GA and surrounding areas.
• Install and finish insulation systems for mechanical piping, process piping, ductwork, HVAC systems, and mechanical equipment on active commercial, federal, military, or large-scale construction projects.
• Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 4 years of commercial mechanical or piping insulation experience; apprenticeship or trade school completion is preferred.
• Read construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, and project requirements; perform work to building codes, safety requirements, quality standards, and project specifications.
• Must provide identity and U.S. work authorization evidence and pass drug screening, commercial criminal background screening, and potentially a stricter Department of Defense background check for military-base access.
• Compensation is $30.00-$45.00 per hour under Davis-Bacon prevailing wage; anticipated openings; full-time.
