Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description

• Senior/principal-level Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for propulsion and aerospace mechanical components, pressure vessels, rocket motor, and missile hardware.
• Performs trade studies, material selection, sealing and O-ring design, engineering analysis, testing, troubleshooting, and qualification activities.
• Requires 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Requires experience with solid rocket motors or propulsion systems, aerospace/defense applications, qualification testing, failure investigations, root-cause analysis, Creo, mechanical CAD, and GD&T.
• Contract-to-hire, hybrid role based in Reno, NV; compensation is $62.50-$96.15/hr and the stated application deadline is Oct 23, 2026.
