Job Description

• Full-time, onsite Medical Assistant II Certified role at UNC Primary Care at Clayton in Clayton, NC, supporting providers and healthcare team members in an outpatient primary care clinic.
• Performs patient intake and rooming, gathers vital signs and medical histories, reviews medications and allergies, conducts EKG and eye exams, collects specimens, performs phlebotomy, and administers medications under provider direction.
• Handles clinical-room preparation, instrument sterilization, patient education, screenings, registration, scheduling, referrals, telephone/in-basket support, and emergency assistance.
• May precept and train medical assistants, support preventive health measures, perform clinic quality or safety functions and audits, and manage clinic supply ordering.
• Requires at least one year of full-time certified Medical Assistant experience, an approved Medical Assistant certification, and Basic Life Support certification from AHA or ARC; salary is $19.12-$27.17/hr plus a $7,500 incentive paid over three years.
