Medical Laboratory Scientist - Clinical Microbiology and Molecular Microbiology

Job Description

• Perform high-complexity clinical and molecular microbiology testing, including culture-based organism identification, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, PCR, molecular diagnostics, and Sanger sequencing.
• Process specimens, verify results, perform quality control, maintain instruments, troubleshoot issues, and provide cross-coverage across clinical and molecular microbiology sections.
• Perform moderate- to high-complexity clinical laboratory tests and deliver rapid, accurate results to physicians.
• Maintain strict compliance with CAP, CLIA, CMS, and other regulatory standards.
• Requires a bachelor’s degree in laboratory science, medical technology, or a related chemical, physical, or biological science; 3–5 years of progressive Clinical Microbiology experience; and certification eligibility with certification required within six months of hire.
• Full-time compensation is $39.78–$59.67 per hour; position is located in Seattle, WA.
