Job Description
• Perform moderate- and high-complexity clinical laboratory testing and report analytical results in accordance with SOPs and quality-control requirements.
• Troubleshoot instruments and procedures; maintain equipment, reagents, test kits, laboratory records, and sanitary work areas.
• Support quality control, process improvement, customer support, staff training, special projects, and potentially delegated lead responsibilities.
• Requires at least one year of full-time high-complexity clinical laboratory experience; three years of clinical experience with the most recent year in the current department is preferred.
• Requires an associate degree in Laboratory Science/Medical Technology, a bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Biology, or Chemistry, or prior qualification under 42 CFR 493.1433; ASCP certification is preferred.
• Part-time role in Silver Spring, MD, with a Monday–Friday 2:30 PM–11:00 PM schedule and rotational weekends; pay is $29.13–$48.06/hour plus possible shift differentials.
