Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) - Marcum & Wallace Hospital

Job Description

• Perform routine and analytical testing on blood, tissues, and other biological specimens using clinical laboratory equipment, while delivering accurate results to physicians.
• Inspect specimens, identify abnormal or unusual results, recognize factors affecting measurements, and follow documented procedures and protocols.
• Conduct quality control testing, verify established ranges before releasing patient results, and maintain patient safety, anonymity, and regulatory compliance under CLIA-approved laboratory standards.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and work areas by performing equipment checks, cleaning, monitoring temperatures, troubleshooting equipment, and following hospital policies.
• Full-time position in Irvine, KY; requires a qualifying Bachelor of Science degree and MLS certification or eligibility through a nationally recognized agency, preferably ASCP. Work mode is not specified.
