Medical Laboratory Scientist - MLS/MLT

Job Description

• Perform clinical laboratory analysis of blood, urine, stool, body fluids, and other specimens in a part-time relief role with rotating shifts.
• Collect appropriate specimens, verify identification during aliquoting and test resulting, and follow laboratory policy.
• Evaluate test reports and results based on patient clinical conditions and analytical testing conditions while maintaining laboratory testing quality.
• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technology or a related discipline, plus ASCP or equivalent certification; employment requires passing ASCP or equivalent within 18 months of hire.
• Located at Grand Haven Hospital in Grand Haven, MI, part of Trinity Health’s Catholic healthcare organization.
