Medical Laboratory Technologist

Job Description

• Perform veterinary diagnostic testing on blood, urine, fecal, and biopsy specimens using automated analyzers, microscopes, and other laboratory tools.
• Set up, run, interpret, and release test results according to SOPs, using delta checks and discrepancy recognition.
• Requires an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in MLS, CLS, MT, MLT, or a related biological, biomedical, or chemical science field, plus prior laboratory experience.
• Requires hands-on clinical training in Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Immunology/Serology, Urinalysis, and Cytology; cross-training in two or more departments is ideal.
• Must understand CLIA, CAP and/or Joint Commission standards, OSHA/biohazard safety, chain-of-custody procedures, and LIS workflows; ASCP, ASCP-BOC, AMT, AAB, or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
• Full-time, on-site Westminster, CO role with first- and third-shift schedules; target pay is $30/hr, with an additional $3/hr shift differential for eligible second- or third-shift work.
