Microbiology Medical Technologist II - Full-Time - Evenings and Weekends

Job Description

• Perform, evaluate, validate, and report laboratory tests accurately, precisely, and within turnaround-time expectations.
• Collect, label, transfer, process, and coordinate referrals for laboratory specimens while maintaining specimen integrity.
• Complete quality control, calibration, instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, corrective actions, proficiency testing, and process improvement activities.
• Maintain regulatory, accreditation, competency, confidentiality, and laboratory safety compliance; obtain required certification within one year of hire and complete at least 12 CEUs annually.
• Work full-time evenings and weekends in Springfield, MO; requires enrollment in the final year of a Clinical Laboratory Science Associate Degree Program and preferably prior medical or healthcare experience.
