Mill Diagnostic Electrician

Job Description

• Perform electrical component and system removal, repair, installation, diagnosis, advanced troubleshooting, process optimization, and routine/non-routine construction repairs at an on-site mining and milling operation.
• Maintain and troubleshoot substations, power distribution systems, switchgear, motors, motor controls, process controls, instrumentation, pneumatic equipment, AC/DC drives, PLCs, overhead cranes, control systems, transmitters/transducers, weigh scales, and low- and medium-voltage equipment.
• Qualify through an approved Certified Electronics, Electrical and/or Instrumentation Program; 4+ years of industrial electrical/instrumentation repair and maintenance; or an associate degree/trade certification plus 2 years of related experience.
• Read technical manuals, prints, and schematics; follow SOPs and regulatory agency standards; participate in safety and environmental activities; and potentially mentor or train other electrical workers.
• Pass required training/testing, written skills or academic and safety assessments, possible medical examination, and mandatory pre-employment and ongoing drug/alcohol testing; work a possible non-standard shift schedule in a 24/7/365 operation.
