Model Governance Lead, Credit

Job Description

• Lead and execute the Model Governance program for Plaid’s Credit products, supporting Credit Score and Insights models.
• Build and evolve a model risk governance framework; independently assess model conceptual soundness, data, features, performance, stability, limitations, and intended use.
• Identify model weaknesses and create actionable remediation plans while providing independent, constructive challenge to model owners and stakeholders.
• Partner with Product, Data Science, and Engineering to improve model development, validation, documentation, and responsible machine learning practices.
• Requires 7+ years building and owning a model governance program, deep credit-model expertise, and knowledge of XGBoost, foundation models, neural networks, and rigorous model validation.
