Molecular Biologist III

Job Description

• Lead genetics and molecular biology research, advanced biological experiments, technical evaluations, and analyses supporting a large government contract.
• Develop technical work plans, lead small laboratory teams in a BSL-2 environment, and mentor personnel in nucleic acid, PCR, recombinant DNA, epigenetics, sequencing, and microarray methods.
• Define study objectives and deliverables with project managers and customers, producing technical reports, manuscripts, presentations, and key study findings.
• Drive capture activities, proposal development, research funding, and new project growth; participate in conferences, peer review panels, and publications.
• Requires PhD plus 2 years, MS plus 5 years, or BS plus 10 years in genetics or molecular biology; at least 5 years in a laboratory-based facility; sole U.S. citizenship; ability to obtain and maintain government security clearances; and willingness to work in BSL-2 laboratories.
