Job Description
• Assist the Iowa DOT Location and Environment Bureau with transportation-project environmental reviews, regulatory compliance, and environmental stewardship.
• Conduct wetland and threatened and endangered species field work, mitigation site surveys, and project reporting.
• Support environmental planning, GIS analysis, data entry, and project-related administrative work.
• Requires an undergraduate or graduate student in natural resources, biology, ecology, environmental sciences, or a related field; preference for at least a sophomore interested in becoming a biologist or related environmental professional.
• Internship in Ames, IA, paying $16.46/hour, available up to 40 hours per week; closing date is November 1, 2026, at 11:59 PM Central.
