Neuroscientist - UTSW Dept. of Psychiatry

Job Description

• Conduct independent neuroscience research as a tenure-track Assistant Professor focused on the biological basis of neuropsychiatric conditions.
• Develop research in areas including neurodevelopmental disorders, learning and memory impairments, depression, autism, schizophrenia, addiction, computational genomics/epigenomics, synaptic and cellular biology, neuromodulation, and circuit neuroscience.
• Use human cell models and/or model organisms and contribute state-of-the-art expertise to disease-based Centers of Excellence.
• Requires a PhD and/or MD, postdoctoral research experience, and a record of outstanding research publications.
• Security-sensitive position subject to Texas Education Code 51.215 and criminal history record review; applications received by November 1, 2026 receive priority consideration.
