Non-Credit Adjunct Instructor - Heavy Equipment Operations

Job Description

• Deliver classroom and hands-on Heavy Equipment Operations workforce training for students entering construction, mining, utilities, and related industries.
• Provide instruction using excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, and related machinery while following approved curriculum and safety standards.
• Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and skills assessments; evaluate student performance and maintain attendance and training records.
• Must have at least five years of documented heavy equipment operations experience and NCCER certification or willingness to obtain it before teaching.
• Part-time, in-person role serving SWCC locations in Virginia, including Tazewell, with a hiring rate of $40.00 per instructional hour.
