Operations Officer - Finance

Job Description

• Full-time, remote Operations Officer (Finance) supporting Avaaz’s US and UK entities, ideally from the Americas/Eastern Time Zone.
• Manage accounts payable, invoices, payment preparation, expense reports, approvals, coding, reconciliations and financial records across multiple platforms, currencies and entities.
• Support monthly and quarterly close, financial reporting, audits and financial trackers while investigating discrepancies and resolving vendor or budget-holder queries.
• Requires practical finance operations, accounts payable and/or accounting experience; QuickBooks or another accounting package is preferred, and international payments/multicurrency experience is an asset.
• Must demonstrate strong attention to detail, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, discretion and English proficiency; compensation is $71,000–$78,000 USD in the US/Canada Eastern Time Zone or $63,000–$69,000 USD in Central and South America.
