Job Description

• Full-time night-shift Patient Care Technician role with Baylor Scott & White Health in the United States; specific city/state and work mode are not specified.
• Provides patient care under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse or other medical staff, following the patient plan of care and supporting patients, families, and significant others.
• Collects patient data, vital signs, height/weight, intake/output, fingerstick blood glucose readings, and specimens; performs routine urinary catheter care.
• Assists with activities of daily living, transfers/ambulation, call lights, constant observation, room and equipment cleanliness, supply inventory, and non-medical patient support.
• Maintains patient records and computerized patient data in accordance with BSWH standards; requires a high school diploma/GED, less than 1 year of experience, and BLS certification or completion within 30 days of hire or transfer.
