Patient Care Technician - PCU, Full-Time Nights, Marlton

Job Description

• Patient Care Technician role with Virtua in Marlton, NJ, supporting patient care in a PCU setting; full-time nights and on-site patient-facing work.
• Assists under the direction of an RN/LPN with activities of daily living, mobility, transport, patient plans of care, safety, and isolation precautions.
• Performs vital signs, point-of-care testing, bladder scanning, Foley catheter care, documentation, and—when certified—phlebotomy and EKGs.
• Requires a high school diploma/GED, completion of a PCT, RN fundamentals, or CNA program or 1 year of direct patient care, plus BLS certification.
• Communicates patient-status changes, reinforces patient/family education, supports performance-improvement and satisfaction initiatives, assists with new-hire orientation, and maintains regulatory and departmental competencies.
