Job Description

• Perform phlebotomy procedures by drawing blood from adult, pediatric, and infant patients and process specimens according to established procedures and techniques.
• Verify patient, request, and specimen information; follow in-process quality control procedures; and maintain related records.
• Monitor patients' emotional and physiological conditions and report abnormal conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of phlebotomy experience or completion of a phlebotomy/medical assistant education program, and one year of hospital-setting experience.
• National-organization phlebotomy certification and laboratory computer knowledge are preferred; full-time position in Poughkeepsie, NY.
