Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Inpatient/Acute Care

Job Description

• Hospital Sisters Health System is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for inpatient/acute-care rehabilitation at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL; the role is on-site in a hospital setting.
• Implement treatment plans under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, monitor patient progress, document care, and communicate patient responses.
• Educate and advocate for patients and families while promoting safe mobility, functional independence, and overall wellness.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team, maintain accurate clinical documentation, support therapy program goals, and participate in professional development.
• Requires an accredited PTA program graduate, 2+ years of experience, current state licensure or eligibility, and certified BLS within the first 90 days; board certification is preferred.
• Part-time, 20 hours weekly, day shift; full-time schedule may be considered. Pay range is $25.53-$38.29 per hour.
