Pipefitter- Shop

Job Description

• Perform on-site pipefitting, fabrication, and production work in a shop environment while meeting efficiency, safety, and quality requirements.
• Lay out and fabricate piping spools from production drawings; read blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials.
• Operate trade-specific shop tools, machinery, overhead cranes, jib cranes, and forklifts; handle materials and assist with equipment maintenance.
• Inspect, document, and perform quality-control reviews of products; identify and communicate defects and maintain accurate time and production records.
• Requires trade-specific training, experience, and knowledge; high school diploma or GED preferred; career levels range from direct to minimal supervision.
• Must comply with safety procedures and work in hazardous, confined, elevated, dusty, noisy, and all-weather conditions; lift 51–75 lbs. occasionally.
