Job Description
• Conduct laboratory research isolating and identifying carcinogen-DNA adducts in oral mucosa DNA from smokeless tobacco users using high-resolution mass spectrometry.
• Identify and classify molecular signatures in DNA samples to investigate mechanisms of tobacco-induced oral cancer.
• Requires a recent Ph.D. in biochemistry, molecular biology, or a closely related field; working knowledge of DNA adducts and molecular signatures is preferred.
• Full-time, 100% appointment with the University of Minnesota's NCI-designated Masonic Cancer Center in Minneapolis, MN; employment is contingent on a successful background check.
• Pay range: $63,480–$64,380, depending on education, qualifications, and experience.
