Post Doctoral Research Associate - Powder based Pharmaceutical Product Development

Job Description

• Lead postdoctoral research projects in powder-based pharmaceutical product development, particle engineering, and predictive formulation tools at NJIT in Newark, NJ.
• Plan and conduct physical experiments involving APIs, formulated blends, spray-dried dispersions, powder blends, compressed matrix tablets, and pharmaceutical unit operations.
• Integrate experimental data, material parameters, available models, granular physics, and physics-based AI/ML methods to develop predictive models for bulk properties and key performance parameters.
• Supervise undergraduate and Master's students, serve as the primary contact for experimental topics and analytical methods, and disseminate findings through publications, conferences, and CIMSEPP IAB reports.
• Requires a Ph.D. in Engineering, significant hands-on particle handling and processing experience, expertise in powder characterization and particulate physics, and preferably coding/data-analysis proficiency; compensation is $63,480.00 salary for a full-time, exempt postdoctoral position.
