Postdoc Employee – Systems Biology – Molecular & Cell Biology

Job Description

• Full-time postdoctoral researcher in systems biology and molecular/cell biology at the University of California, Berkeley, Berkeley, CA; work mode is not specified.
• Investigate how transcription factor filament formation contributes to cooperative DNA binding, transcriptional activation, transcriptional repression, and other gene regulation.
• Conduct experimental and computational research using DNA isolation, PCR, Illumina sequencing library preparation, yeast cell culture, and computational data analysis.
• Develop yeast functional assays, perform high-throughput screens, clone large plasmid libraries, manage and analyze data, prepare manuscripts, present research, contribute to grant proposals, and mentor students.
• Extensive molecular biology experience is required; applicants must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire, and visa sponsorship is unavailable.
