Power Generation Renewable Environmental Specialist - Texas & Oklahoma Region

Job Description

• Manage regional environmental compliance for NextEra Energy Solar and Energy Storage projects across Texas and Oklahoma, including 50–75% travel with occasional overnight stays.
• Implement and verify the Solar & Storage/PGD Environmental Management System, permit conditions, inspections, reporting, audits, and compliance tracker deadlines.
• Conduct civil stormwater inspections and oversee water, wastewater, vegetation, conservation lands, wildlife trapping, hazardous materials, oil spill prevention/response, and contractor programs.
• Support construction-to-operations transition through Pre-COD walkdowns, permitting, permit close-out, agency coordination, issue resolution, and operations crew training.
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 2+ years of experience, knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations, Microsoft Office proficiency, and strong communication, analysis, problem-solving, leadership, and project/process management skills.
