Job Description

• Administer California prevailing wage and public works payroll for employees, ensuring accurate and timely payment.
• Maintain wage rates, classifications, project assignments, labor allocations, payroll records, and payroll system data.
• Audit and reconcile payroll; process corrections, retroactive adjustments, true-ups, fringe payments, and CAC apprenticeship contributions.
• Support labor compliance audits, regulatory reporting, multi-state payroll, and federal, state, and local payroll tax compliance.
• Requires 5+ years of payroll processing experience, 3+ years processing prevailing wage, and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Hybrid, full-time role with BKF Engineers in San Luis Obispo, CA; salary is $87,141.60–$116,688 annually, paid biweekly.
