Principal AI Architect

Job Description

• Senior individual-contributor Principal AI Architect role at DIRECTV, providing enterprise-wide technical leadership for Generative AI, AI/ML platforms, and AI-driven architecture.
• Design and govern LLM, RAG, vector database, MCP, multi-agent, agent-to-agent, orchestration, and enterprise GenAI architectures that are secure, scalable, resilient, reusable, and future-ready.
• Partner with Application Architects, Data Architects, Platform Engineers, Product teams, business stakeholders, and delivery teams to translate business problems into measurable AI solutions and govern implementation quality.
• Requires a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math, or equivalent experience; 5–7 years required and 8+ years desired in Enterprise and Solution Architecture roles.
• Remote anywhere in the United States except Alaska; full-time; background check may be required due to access to DIRECTV and customer proprietary data; base salary range is $134,363–$244,036.
