Principal Scientist in Chemical Induced Proximity

Job Description

• Principal Scientist and senior leadership role directing the Chemical Induced Proximity Center at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN; full-time position with work mode not specified.
• Drive small-molecule drug discovery strategy across chemically induced proximity platforms, including PROTACs, molecular glues, bifunctional modulators, protein degraders, synthetic gene regulators, and functional effectors.
• Lead scientists, multidisciplinary projects, CROs, and global external chemistry partners while recruiting, mentoring, and growing the team.
• Apply chemical library design, SAR, computational design, AI/ML, ADMET, and DMPK approaches to advance candidates for pediatric oncology, neurodegenerative disorders, and sickle cell disease.
• Requires a relevant scientific bachelor's degree; 15 years of experience with a bachelor's degree, 13 years with a master's degree, or 10 years with a PhD. PhD and management experience preferred.
• Salary range: $138,320–$262,080 per year; full-time.
