Job Description

• Evaluate and accept property reinsurance applications while adhering to underwriting processes, pricing integrity, internal policies, and best practices.
• Use underwriting, pricing, portfolio analytics tools, statistical analysis, and experience-based and exposure-based rating model outputs to assess risk, pricing, capacity, and portfolio performance.
• Negotiate underwriting appetite, pricing, contractual terms, and reinsurance conditions with brokers and clients; manage assigned key accounts and provide responsive service.
• Develop Line of Business and peril-driven strategies, monitor portfolio alignment with underwriting guidelines and objectives, and identify emerging issues.
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Math, or another quantitative field and 5 years of Property Treaty Underwriting or related Property & Casualty (re)insurance, actuarial, or broking experience required; may telecommute but must report to the New York, NY office 3 times per week.
