R&D PhD Summer Intern: AI Agents for Automated Machine Learning Research

Job Description

• Develop an AI-agent-driven framework that automates and accelerates machine learning experimentation for time-series data modeling within Procter & Gamble Corporate R&D.
• Review LLM-based AI agents, automated machine learning, and AI-enabled research systems; prepare datasets, baseline models, and evaluation pipelines.
• Design, execute, analyze, validate, and track reproducible machine learning experiments involving preprocessing, feature representation, model architecture, training strategies, and hyperparameter selection.
• Compare AI-enabled and conventional experimentation based on model performance, reproducibility, throughput, and research efficiency; document findings and present results.
• Requires a candidate working toward a PhD in a relevant technical field, experience developing and evaluating ML/deep learning models, Python, and PyTorch or TensorFlow; on-site in Mason, OH, 5 days per week, with no immigration sponsorship.
